Inspirational Woman: Erykah Badu at KoolHaus Toronto. Dress Yes World Boutique!
Our second ‘inspirational women’ feature is on the one and only, Erykah Badu.
This grammy-winning singer, actress and activist has a style and attitude like no other. We believe she is inspirational because she’s comfortable in her own skin and refuses to conform to the popular ideals of beauty. She encourages others to see themselves as beautiful, despite their flaws, while also standing up for the rights of others.
We believe she perfectly represents the sentiments of Yes World Boutique, using her individual style to express freedom, happiness and joy. As a woman, we face many pressures to fit within a particular standard and sometimes these may be hard to ignore. Women like Erykah Badu remind us that beauty lies on the inside, not the outside.
Tonight, we wish the best to Erykah as she performs at The KoolHaus in Toronto. In honour of her being here, we’ve suggested an outfit that we believe would best suit her fashion sense. The flowy wide leg pants with matching top in Ferrari Red would be a perfect fit for Erykah. We can see her pairing the outfit with a funky hat and accessories, in order to truly express her individuality.
